I haven’t even had time to post this, but my son had a birthday back on January 5th, and another little girl had her birthday party that weekend, so we had his the 19th instead. Struggling to find something cool and unique to do for a kid’s birthday party outside the house that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg, I turned to Google as I usually do… it was so difficult to find what I wanted…or even many things at all. It’s kind of strange how there are very few lists of places to have kids’ parties. Although with some creative search terms, I stumbled on this gem:
Oh man. That little girl is decorating the heck outta those cupcakes. I mean, just LOOK at all those sprinkles…. and if you read the description, you get a lot for your $14.95 per kid! The best part? No cleanup. Well, maybe the best part is the 6 gourmet cupcakes that the Host gets to take home.
Yeah. 6. Gourmet. Cupcakes. And those are all for you. The Host with the Most. Oh, you get to pick them out, too. You can even pick 6 different ones.
They only do parties at three locations: Royal Oak, Ann Arbor and Brighton. The girls took care of everything – they were extremely helpful. There was Little Caesar’s pizza, Minute Maid apple juiceboxes for the kids, and you get 3 cupcakes per child! They have these giant frosting bags, and whatever doesn’t go home with them goes home with you… moarrrrr cupcakes…. There was plenty of room for the little ones to run around, and they played a little tag, hide n seek, and of course my favorite: HOT LAVA. Ha.
The staff served up the pizza and juiceboxes, and when they were done eating all that, the kids were each given their 3 cupcakes, a bag of frosting and dishes of tons of sprinkles so they could go nuts!

And here’s my own little goofball thoroughly enjoying every bit of the cupcake goodness.

They let you choose everything – what kind of pizza, vanilla or chocolate cupcakes, you even get CAKE!

And that wasn’t just some “we pulled this out of the freezer” cake that they stuck a name on, I picked the color of the frosting, the color of the polka dots, I mean… this was awesome.
Oh, and speaking of picking everything, here were my gourmet cupcake picks to take home:
Cookie Dough [not pictured because my husband ate it so fast I couldn't snap it! LOL]
Chocolate Salted Caramel
Strawberry
Black Forest Cheesecake
Peppermint Patty
Fat Elvis
I also did not get to taste the Chocolate Salted Caramel – I let my parents share that one, out of the goodness of my heart. Sigh. I’m sure I will get in there to have it for myself before long.
So if you’re looking for a great idea for a kid party with some perks for the Host, check out Just Baked over in Royal Oak (or Ann Arbor, or Brighton). Out of everything I had checked out, this was the best value, it was a lot of fun, there were CUPCAKES and it didn’t break the bank. Bonus: it lasted a little over an hour (which was JUST enough time).
